Product builds
Web platforms, mobile apps and the systems behind them, from idea to a version people can use. Built on an AI‑assisted stack, so a first release takes weeks.
Scale your business without scaling your headcount. Fifteen years of product and growth experience, now run on an AI‑native system.
Putting AI to work on growth takes clarity and discipline. The job is knowing what to automate, what to hand to a person, and where judgement and taste are the advantage.
Strategy, execution and integration across the customer lifecycle, for new businesses and for ones already running.
Web platforms, mobile apps and the systems behind them, from idea to a version people can use. Built on an AI‑assisted stack, so a first release takes weeks.
Positioning, channels and first customers. A launch plan sized to where the business is today, then run with you until it works.
One source of context for the business, connected to the tools you already use, so AI can read it, act on it and report back.
The manual work in sales, delivery and operations, mapped and removed. Fewer hours in the loop, and a team pointed at the work only people can do.
Every engagement moves through the same three stages, one loop at a time.
Discovery, an audit of what drives growth today, and a map of the system you need. Priorities set with a goal and a measure for each.
I build it. Product, content, outreach, automations: shipped weekly, tested against the measure, adjusted.
Handed over working and documented, connected to your tools and your people, so it keeps running without me.
Selected work
SiteFinder · Web platform · Build and go‑to‑market
SiteFinder is a recruitment platform for the mining sector: one profile for the worker, one pipeline for the employer, tickets and compliance tracked in between. I embedded with the client to turn spreadsheets and manual processes into an AI‑enabled platform, then ran the go‑to‑market that signed the first enterprise client.
Kaytoo · Mobile app · Product, brand and build
A coach, a friend group or a team sets a time‑bound challenge with daily steps, and everyone climbs it together. Built end to end: product, brand, payments, analytics and the business model, with free and paid tiers live.
Alan Estate · Strategy, build and go‑to‑market
Alan Estate is a free, personalised guide to what to do when someone dies in Australia. Discovery and regulatory research fed the build. A plan builder, seven guide pages and automated source checks came out of it. The go‑to‑market ran off the same system: outreach lists built by category, sequenced sends from the CRM, replies tracked back to the list.
Nutrien Ag Solutions · Custom AI tool · Marketing enablement
A small marketing team, a lot of partners, and specialist product information spread across spreadsheets, PDFs and agency briefs. I built a content hub that holds the content, the context and the brand rules in one place, so the team produces accurate, on‑brand collateral without a round trip to the agency. Hours back every week.

The largest bottleneck the team had was content creation for our partners. James quickly understood the problem and built the hub and workflow that saved the team hours every week and thousands in agency fees.
James was great to work with. He very quickly learned our pain points and came up with a solution we hadn't thought of.
I've spent fifteen years leading product, marketing and growth for some of Australia's best‑known brands and startups. Otta distils that into a lean growth system.
Two ideas sit behind it. One: an expert using AI well can now create more value than a team using it badly. Two: the most valuable call a company can make right now is what to automate, what to hand to AI, and what to keep in human hands. Having worked across product and marketing at every stage of the customer lifecycle, I can put the whole thing together as one system. The name is short for “one thing, then another”, which is also how the work runs: one loop at a time.
Tell me what you're building, or what's stuck. One email is enough.
